SIPLAST Irex 40 is a high-performance, heavy-duty base sheet designed for use in multi-layer modified bitumen roofing systems. It features a lightweight, random fibrous glass mat that is impregnated and coated with a specialty formulated SBS-modified bitumen. This construction provides excellent dimensional stability and durability, making it suitable for both insulated and non-insulated concrete roof decks. The membrane is designed for torch-applied or Type IV asphalt applications, with specific lapping requirements to ensure a secure and watertight installation. Irex 40 is approved by FM Approvals (FM Standard 4470) for use in Veral Class 1 insulated steel roof deck constructions and insulated and non-insulated concrete roof deck constructions, subject to FM conditions and limitations. Additionally, it is available with Siplast RoofTag RFID for enhanced tracking and management. This product is engineered to be applied as the first ply in Veral composite systems, providing a robust foundation for the roofing assembly. Its compatibility with various substrates and installation methods makes it a versatile choice for a wide range of roofing projects.
